Down at Saporium in Sydney one cool spring night a gathering of Food Trucks united to lure in locals for some family friendly food, drinks, dogs, djs, tunes and smirks.
Me and a few of the other Brush Project artists got together to share a bit of the creativity that Birdhat, William Nghiem, Yuri Trechswjakow and Sean Pointing had to offer. With plenty of smiles the gang from Local Artist Division had a blast spraying themselves thanks to the Work-Shop and Brewery Yard Markets for putting it together.
Charity Exhibition Opening Night Party and Event!
I'm involved in another group exhibition to raise some money for Beyond Blue with the legends over at Beach Burrito Co and Tee Cee tees.
It's a mix of Australia's quirkiest and interesting street/skate artists and their whacky illustrations or paintings.
The launch party is sure to be a laugh so swing along, grab a drink and help out with our fundraising for a good cause. We all can feel this cause hit home because between friends and family I'm sure we all know someone who's been affected by depression and anxiety at some point in their life.
Fresh New Prints in the store!
I've got my first print release in a couple of years!

There is a form when you hit pre-order where I grab all the details from you to include in the sketch. I love you guys and your ideas so get in quick to snare that sweet deal!

Jack Daniel's Container Collaboration
The team from Jack Daniel's got in touch with me about painting some shipping containers for their Bar that Jack Built on Tour campaign. The concept for the campaign was to create a travelling bar/party that fans of the old No.7 could be a part of. The trucks would drop off the containers in 7 towns between Melbourne and Sydney. Then the locals would come in and supply furniture or labour in return for tix to the event and be a part of the action.
Last year I was involved in the Jack Daniels Birthday -Bar that jack built campaign too. Here's a really thorough link to the process behind it.
And here's my Jack Daniel's Birthday painting.

Singapore Poster Exhibition at LUDO
I was invited to crate a poster for the Supervene exhibition organiszed by Steve from local Sydney Screenprinting Print Edition. His vision for the show was to gather some top shelf illustrators to have a go at distorting their favourite superheroes or villains.
The travelling exhibition was first shown at the Sydney Supernova pop culture event.
Next stop is at Ludo Gallery in Singapore. Here's their post about the event:
For the SUPERVENE SINGAPORE, we are fortunate to be able to showcase the hardcopy. With free reign over a wide and rich pop cultural history, the capes represented come from comics and film, from the famous to the obscure. The featured figures have been explored with an individualistic take, displaying the admiration of the source and artistry of each creator.
For the SUPERVENE EXHIBITION, the artists have used Screen Printing to execute their work. Many of the artists have their own websites and are on Facebook, and we hope that you will take some time to view their work online.
SINGAPORE: HERO + VILLAIN
Singapore also has a strong community of Western comic enthusiasts and collectors. For many, the now-defunct Comics Mart in Serene Centre that opened in mid-1980s stoked the flames of fandom. LUDO Gallery will now showcase as a reminder to the existing audience and an opportunity for the next generation of enthusiasts to experience and examine the art of screen printing stabilising our fascination with Superheros and Villains.
At the present time, the local comic convention, STGCC, has been recognised as one of the major Western comics-centric conventions in South East Asia. Superheroes are currently at the forefront of popular culture thanks to film and television adaptations.
Print Edition's intimate collaboration with artists and the resultant silk screened posters are an authentic reflection of comics' place in society and art, and seemed natural for LUDO Gallery to welcome the Supervene exhibition to Singapore's shores.
